Moving to Butler !! :)

Hi there,

I am 26 and my 3 year old daughter will be following my other half to Butler Perth in the next couple of weeks. It has been our dream for so long, but now it is finally actually happening I feel sick to the stomach!! I am so nervous its terrible! Not like me at all. Think it is the fact he is out there and I am still here. It is usually me that sorts everything out (usually the case isn’t it haha) and on this occasion I have no control over anything at the moment, its driving me mad!

He loves it and can’t wait for us to get there. We will be staying with his brother and wife in Ridgewood until we find a long term rental in Butler and I am just looking for anyone already there for a bit of moral support . Is there a good community feel to the place?

I will be looking for full time office/sales work straight away so I will be looking for full time day care pretty much straight away –Are there any full time working mums who have recently moved out there? Just wondered what your experiences have been like. Hopefully the nerves will subside after all the goodbyes!!

Thanks for listening

Elise

Hi, we came over to Butler 4 months ago. Butler is a very family orientated area, very close to a lovely beach, cafes and shops and has a nice park. Having gone through "the big move" very recently myself, I understand the nerves and all the stress! I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and have had some experience of a local daycare centre and of schools. If you would like to PM me then I can give you some more info if you like and answer any other questions you may have.

We did similar when we first came over - lived in Butler and Clarkson for a while holiday lets then we found a really nice rental Ridgewood, got settled in for a year then started looking to buy somewhere, we did and are now moving onto our second own house.

Love it here really good crack - hard at first but well worth it when you get settled/ jobbed up etc.

Enjoy.

Thank you for the replies, I feel so much more positive about it all, I now can't wait to get there! Talk about emotional rollercoaster, really looking forward to a new challenge with a new job.

The Brighton Estate looks like a lovely place to live, well all the houses in Butler do.

hw72 - I will PM you with a few more questions if that's ok.

We are flying out on the 1st June all being well so not long now :)
