Sal
I'd let this be your rough guide - anything under $400,000 could be a bit dodgy in terms of schools, and definitely under $300,000 http://reiwa.com.au/Research/Pages/Price-growth-by-suburb.aspx though there will be exceptions. Goat
Where do you live tojo
Arwen
There are a few I wouldn't live in due to crime being relatively high. Balga, Mirabooka, Koondoola, Girrawheen, Ballajura, Lockridge, Marangaroo. All of these places are not typically suburbs where British people would settle. I can't comment on SOR as I don't know the dodgy suburbs down there. Some say avoid Armadale and Midland too.

Guest RipleyWA
Hi Tony, I'm a local from WA, I would suggest avoid suburbs like Balga (North) Mirrabooka (North) these areas have had high rates of violence. I hope this helps?
Bibbs
Don't go north of Reid Highway or south of Roe. Try not to go east of Tonkin if you can. Even then you may have trouble. And for reference, I've lived in Mt Nasura, Dalkeith, Bibra Lake, Burswood & Bayswater. Edited May 28, 2013 by Bibbs

Lots of great suburbs north of Reid Highway, Sorrento, Marmion, Carine, Duncraig, Hillarys, Mullaloo, Ocean Reef etc etc.

This is our top of the list place to live when we move out there.....gulp, afraid of what I am about to hear though now! You will be fine........ Especially if you are bringing the dog in your avator with you Rocky is a good, whole hearted, dinky die Aussie area and it is what it is. Go there have a look and if you do not like it then choose somewhere else.

verystormy
It is fine. Not my choice, but ok. It does have a above average crime rate and a huge pom population - not sure if the two are linked As said, have a look around and see what you think
