Awesome!! That only a little over two weeks.

If they come back to us that quick, we could have this visa business well and truly sewn up by the time we get back off hols!! Not sure if that's such a good thing though because then the wait until January will be unbearable, a whole six months potentially knowing we could go, but not being able to....:arghh:

I know its crazy isn't it! 16 days!

I just hope the police checks hurry up! It says 10 working days not including receipt and despatch, which will be thursday this week.

Were hoping to go in November so hopefully only 5 months to wait!

Hi just been entering application details for lodgement and the system keeps crashing. Have to save it all then go back to beginning.

Just got a 'Network Error' message up. Says that the web server may be down, too busy etc. Thank God it wasn't me making it do that!!!!!

Not sure if I should be on the May or June 190 thread. Started in May, now lodging in June. Don't want to keep repeating myself!

Hi Nikki, see you're on two as well!!

Nikki, why do you have to wait until Jan? What are you going to do if you sell the house quickly?

We don't HAVE to wait until Jan, but I kind of promised my Mum we wouldn't go anywhere before Christmas. Then we'll need to wait for flight costs to come back to a reasonable price post Christmas.

Out timeline was originally based on getting the visa around October time but that has moved in somewhat!! We wanted to get the house on the market because we want to put it on for top price for a while just to see if anyone will bite. We're not seriously expecting anything to happen that quickly but if it does my MIL has said we can stay at theirs until we're ready to go. They are out of the country quite a lot themselves so it would work quite well. And living mortgage free for a few months would certainly help to swell the coffers!

Having said all that I will be applying for jobs the minute I get that visa and if a miracle happens............perhaps we'll fly back for Christmas!

We lodged our 190 visa on 4 June had medicals yesterday 17 June better get the PCC off ASAP as we want to go November time all being well. Look forward to seeing everyone's progress

Looks like we are in a similar position, we want to be out at the end of November. where are you looking at going? we have the opportunity to house sit for some friends in Joondalup whilst they return to the UK over christmas. Its a great opportunity to find our feet and get our rental and employment sorted.

We are both 35 and we have a little boy who is 6. Would be great to keep in touch if we head out at the same time.

Great opportunity for you guys to house sit will give you a great base to sort your rental out. We are also looking NOR not exactly sure at moment, we went on a reccy jan this year & have narrowed it down to a few suburbs but will look at these in some detail when we head out there. We have 2 children girl 7 & boy 4 plus dog.. Keep in touch we will let you know our progress

All we are waiting for is our Police checks.... My OH's comes in the post today... but no sign of mine. Even though they were sent at the same time, in the same envelope, they had consecutive application numbers on the receipts, the cheques where cashed at the same time. I emailed ACPO and they confirm they were sent at the same time. I really hope mine isn't lost... another day of waiting when we are so close. That's it rant over!

I'm not sure as our agent did ours. I have heard a lot of people have problems with the site though. I think persistence is the key.. good luck hope it gets easier.

NEED HELP!

I have just successfully lodged our application and have various correspondence to prove it!

I have screamed with joy, done a stupid dance with only the cat to witness my elation. :jiggy:It is real!!!!

Problem I need help with-

On the last page it said- For guidance of what docs to attach, look on the left hand side of screen, click on 'Attachments Checklist' under 'Related Links'.

Instead of clicking on that link at the time I tried to print something, then the system crashed again!

I have since received an email confirming receipt of lodgement and informing me the EOI has now been suspended as I have gone past that stage now. OK makes sense so far. It said to see what docs are needed for the application, i need to log into my account. I have relogged in and can not find that page now. I am just faced with my Skillselect home page with my EOI number on it and an option to view correspondence. It does not let me do any other action.

How am I meant to view what I need to attach as evidence? :arghh:

Am I meant to log in somewhere else as the EOI has now closed?

I have tried entering my TRN number instead and that gets me nowhere on the Skillselect page.

PLEASE HELP, ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS GONE THROUGH THIS, PLEASE COME TO MY RESCUE!!!!!

Thank you

SOLVED IT!

I will say how now, just in case some other poor demented soul has same problem.... Logged in the Skillselect using the regular code and password. When faced with the Skillselect homepage/corespondence page it won't let you do any actions because the EOI has now closed. HOWEVER, look down to the bottom of the screen on the right (sort of place no one looks, or is that just me?) and you will see a link 'Continue with Visa Application'. Click on that and it takes you to the second log in screen for the evisa, this is where you enter your TRN number. Once logged in the missing page pops up. It shows you exactly what they need for each person as a checklist with an 'add' button to attach the docs. Hooray!!!!!!

I am very proud of my ability to solve this tricky little bugger! It was driving me mad. My biggest resentment was that it took the edge off my victory dance. (Has anyone seen the film 'Even Almighty' the follow up film to Bruce Almighty? Well, the guy who becomes like Moses does this dance of pure joy. Gives it some serious side arm action. Well, that was me, didn't have any animals near me standing two by two, but I did have a cat beside me and a hamster upstairs...does that count?!). :biglaugh: Nikki you would have needed a Tenna lady if you saw me!

Oh glad you got it sorted I got mine sorted too but took me 2 hours in the computer shop with someone else doing all the hard work.. Systems, servers and bits all over my head.. How is it when you think you've got every bit of information together they go and surprise you with another question.. I'm just at the bit I now need to put my husbands work experience in over the past 10 years and guess what he's at work.lol

Hi nancy,

It did throw up some unexpected questions that I then had to run around the house searching for. Then once I found them the server would crash again! Took me ages. One thing I didn't expect was to add my qualifications and work experience considering OH is not claiming points for me. I took the IELTS tests when OH did because I thought I needed to. Later I found out that was unnecessary so I berated myself for being daft enough not to realise this and forking out another £125. However, today when filling in the form they asked if I had taken the test, when, ID number and what the score was (superior!). I was so glad I had done them now. Don't know what effect it would have if I hadn't.

good luck with the crashing system.

Just one note for anyone else reading this about to lodge before the fees go up as of 1/7/13. They have announced that as from the 28/6/13 they are shutting down the system and no one can submit or use the facility. So get on before then, otherwise you will get stung with the new fees.

I was ok I just put no when asked if he done ielts and accepted that. Now onto my second laptop cause what ever was done today I now can't print...this is never bloody ending

I don't know if this is the same but when I tried to print via their 'print' button, nothing happened. Thought it was their system playing up again. In the end I found on my laptop which is a mac, I had to go to file, print and then I could print everything. Just their button that didn't work.

Morning,

i should be in bed by now but tapping away whilst on the sofa with a cosy blanket over my lap. Eyes are dropping. Just been reading about whether to take the cat. Maybe I am callous, but no one mentioned the £2k price tag, surely that is an issue. I keep looking at my cat and going between the two options, depends if he is being affectionate or not at the time.

talk to you later.

night night,

Angela x

Hi guys I'm having a few more problems if anyone can help!! Attaching documents on my visa app but it won't let me attach any for Paul!! And when I click on arrange medicals it says its not available..

Our agent did ours for us, but i know a lot people have issues attaching documents. keep trying it may work at some point but if you cant do it don't worry too much. When you get a CO you also get their email address. Our agent couldnt upload our defacto evidence of our relationship but emailed it as soon as the CO was allocated. The same with our medicals, our agent could access my fiancee and our childs but not mine (I'm the lead applicant). Eventually they could access it. As long as you have your TRN number you can contact a clinic directly to book your appointment and they can access you on the ehealth system. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info the application is saying received so I'm wondering if I need to wait until it says lodged!!!! Got all my documents attached but it doesn't give me an option to add Paul's so I'm going to chill out now and hang on till I hear something...feels so weird now having nothing to do for oz can't believe how much it takes over your life.
