Guest MrsK
Hi! Myself and my husband have decided to start the process to migrate to Perth as soon as possible. He has just qualified as an engineer and we got our points breakdown showing that once he successfully passes the English exam we have the 60 points required! We have not discussed this with our family and friends just yet, we would prefer to wait until we hopefully get visa approval and go from there. There are so many things to consider and research that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and suppose just looking for a bit of guidance/reassurance! We will be moving from Ireland and have signed up so far with a company called Visa first - does anyone have any experience using them? positive/negative all welcome!!! We have friends in Melbourne but unfortunately we didn't have the points to go there so would love to hear your own experiences about Perth, is it generally safe place to live? Would you be able to advise on areas to live? Really just any support on this would be great! Thanks for taking the time to have a read through!!! Thanks MrsK
ali
Hi and welcome. I can't really help with the visa as ours was granted several years ago and the rules and goal posts seem to have shifted lots of times since. Luckily though, there are people going through the process who can give you some tips and advice ... just wanted to say welcome to PP. You are right not an easy decision and research is the key. If you Private Message me your e-mail address I will send you a sheet of information links that will help you start to look at the detail. In addition there is a budget sheet as well that you can fill in based on your own circumstances. Only thing that I would suggest is to perhaps do a bit of the research before you sign anything with the visa agency. Once you have the basics then you can start to look at more detailed questions relavent to your own circumstances.

Hi straighttothepoint would it be ok if I PM you for those links and budget sheet please. I'm thinking about doing it all without an agent, purely because of the money saving. Is it easy enough to do yourself?
