Lou8670
Well we've taken the plunge and booked our validation trip for October to coincide with my sister in laws wedding. Feel relieved we are not having to rush the move and can spend 2 weeks in Perth doing a proper reccie as usually we are there on holiday. tayloal
Good on you Lou, i'm sure everything will seem surreal knowing you will soon be living there. Jeez i'm getting frustrated waiting. Had the estate agent out today to value the house, it helps with the impatience if I keep some things moving !

We haven't put ours on the market yet and need to. Selling the house seems so final but as a friend of mine said to me recently "it's just a house". Other half has been applying for jobs but is getting feedback saying he can't apply unless he is resident or entitled to work in Australia. Arrrgggggg!!! He is entitled to live and work in Australia! A friend of ours who is a recruitment agent in Perth warned him it can be a bit parochial. I feel a lot happier though now we have decided to do a validation trip. Hi Lou, apologies if your husband has already done this. But apparently if you put your visa ref no on the top of cv the employer can check and see your visa online.
